The Indy Japan Network was founded in late 2007 to create an
all Japanese publication starting January 2008.
In 2009 the Indy Japan
Network began holding bi-monthly, informal events for
connecting with other Japanese and non-Japanese members.
We launched the Cooking Club, which is a great afternoon
event. While kids
are at day care or school, Japanese connect and cook yummy
international cuisine together. One of our Club Leaders is
the Lil Chef and studying culinary arts at a local
professional program. The Club has benefited from all
the wonderful bread and pastry recipes.
In December 2009, we help launch the family friendly,
North-side Indianapolis Japanese Language and
Culture Club. Together bilingual professionals gather
together for cross cultural exchange.
We enjoyed Christmas Cake in December, FukuWarai Games in
January and Japanese holidays and language study discussions
in February. Click
here to join us for the coming months!
While our website continues its redevelopment, please just
call or email the IJN to learn how to connect with our
enjoyable, informal social groups.
Plan Ahead!
In
April 2010 we'll be taking a field trip just outside Indianapolis
for a Japanese Kimono and Tea event. We do need to know
numbers
on that so please call us for more details.
